It makes me so angry how badly people devalue labor.

If you work a full time job but don't make enough money, so many people tell you "Well that's on you, if only you had a better job." As if the work you already do isn't valuable, and you don't deserve to be paid accordingly to it.

Finally we agree on something..

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Oh, so NOW you agree with me on this. What happened to all the times you told me that people who work multiple jobs to support themselves need to shut the fuck up and deal with it because "we can't violate the sanctity of the free market?"

What happened? Did you sudden find yourself in a situation like this for the first time and now you decided to quietly change your opinion?
Nah.. I still think that..
but I agree for eg: a CEO who does nothing but have lunches with big money all day every day.. and a bricklayers labouror.. pay scales are way out of whack.. I can appreciate the CEO went to college.. but who’s really breaking their back? earning their money? Peace 😇✌️@BlueMetalChick

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Then you're contradicting yourself. You cannot agree with the former without denouncing the latter, and vice versa. If the pay scales are out of whack in a situation as you described then you would support altering the market.
i give up.. let’s go back to not agreeing on anything
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout You said you agree with the sentiment that we cannot violate the sanctity of the free market, yes? Is this what you believe?
What you rabid anti economists always leave out your rant and equations is ‘choice’ choose a shitty low paying job. Or work towards a better paying job.. it’s nit hard@BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout So, let's pretend everyone took your advice and nobody chose a "shitty low paying job."

The entire economy collapses on itself because the majority of jobs are not filled and nobody is working essential positions.

Congratulations, you played yourself.

I think her point is that you told her to shut up because her issue was with the free market, but you also see an issue with the free market @TheOneyouwerewarnedabout

@Scooter His opinion changes with the wind. He bases his ideas on what others tell him. So if his favorite politician does a 180, he does too. He did this a few months ago on NAFTA. One day he hated NAFTA because of how many jobs it outsourced, then suddenly someone on television supported NAFTA and 24 hours later he was insulting people for not loving NAFTA.

I mean this one seems more like an inconsistently in his ideas rather than a change @BlueMetalChick
Where did I tell her to shut up Rambo.. if you haven’t noticed she don’t need help!..
It’s supply and demand guys.. if a markets saturated. The item will be cheap and wages will be low.. good for the consumer. Bad for the employee.. the world still turns..
go get a job in another industry..
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout "Go get a job in another industry"
So, imagine everyone took your advice. Necessary industries would collapse overnight because nobody works for them.

Once again, you played yourself.
Scooter · 22-25, M
I was referring to her first reply with that. I know why it’s like that, but it’s still a broken system. “Get a different job” logic completely fails because the jobs that’d be left still need to be filled @TheOneyouwerewarnedabout
