So this is something that has been in reconsideration for some time because although companies are making savings not having to have a fixed address (paying for rent, electricity etc) the businesses are suffering from poor collaboration, additional economic problems like cafes and other businesses that profited from commuters.
So it means there is less wealth over all.
That will have an overall affect on everything, especially when we can't slow down the rising cost of living etc.

@Mellowgirl Exactly, I think there is a push from Govt too as it is hurting small business in service industry. Many companies saw the benefit of not having to bare all the cost and emptied out all the office buildings. Now some are mandating hybrid model at much lower scale.

Management fears productivity is suffering and has mounted a new initiative to bring employees back.
Just when we'd mastered a new work-life balance.
I vote for remaining at home and contracting out time and services.

@SethGreene531 i think this has had terrible consequences for the jobs in north america, and it has led to serious outsourcing to other parts of the world, leaving people now unemployed in north america.
Because companies can go and find workers at 1/10 of the cost. What they are paying here.
So many jobs have been outsourced to philippines, India, africa, corporations are moving easily those jobs.
I don't think I want to agree that work from home should be allowed in every sector.

By company policy .. they can't bring me back into the office fill time without paying to move me. Don't see that happening for no longer than I've got left.
Never say never .. but fuck that.
