s0o0o I was WRONG about being in trouble at work!! phew!

Tone can truly not be determined through text!! I just had an AMAZING 1x1 with my supervisor, and he not only clarified that he is not upset with me, but he said he is BEYOND HAPPY with me, and sees that I "go above and beyond"!

He clarified, further, that the reason he didn't want me working off the clock is that he feels it is "unethical to not be paid for your work, and [he] feels passionately about this."

He expressed that he loves my rapport with the team in group chat: "It does my heart good"....He wants to let me do more literary exercises in writing and documenting policy and procedure..he wants me to do 1x1 mentorship with other agents..he wants me to work with HIS boss more often, as I already have been..and he wants me to get cross-trained so I can be eligible for more overtime. He also wants to give me the Subject Matter Expert title so that I can get higher bonuses, and a potential raise.

Boy was I wrong! And: for once, I am HAPPY to be such. I have only been in this dept like 5 months lol

What kind of work do you do?

@Punches I have worked in some form of medicaid for 11.5 years; now I work from home doing private third party insurance verifications for medicaid patients. I just helped with a big HIPAA project for my supervisor's manager, and the HIPAA team, as well. That is not within the normal scope of my position.

@foldedunfolding Dealing with insurance, you must be a patient lady, that would drive me bonkers.

For worrying about being in trouble at work - I doubt they would give you a hard time.
The job doesn't sound like they could easily replace someone so yeah you are probably fine for however long you wish to keep the position.
