If your work is just something you go to, in order to pay your bills, then no wonder you hate it!
There are a lot of ELEMENTS to most jobs that ARE sort of sucky. So, if I can make a suggestion, find SOMETHING in life that you really, really enjoy, and then TRY to get a job where you can DO even a little tiny BIT of that!!
For me, what I love doing more than anything else is helping other PEOPLE. So all the jobs I had doing THAT were satisfying and fulfilling for me. AND I didn't ALWAYS do the same thing! I just FOUND the part of my job that WAS the helping part...and I concentrated on that.
I have done things as diverse as volunteering at a drug recovery shelter for women with children, have worked as a paid residential staff person at a homeless shelter, have worked as an Alzheimer's specialist caring for the elderly, have worked at a nursing home, and spent MANY years working in call centers helping customers for large corporations...and I even loved THAT. For ME helping people, even on a phone call, is a little bit of a thrill...
SO for YOU, it's important to find out what PART of earning your daily bread COULD make you happy, and then do it!
You might have to re-train. I've heard that you can get a scholarship, for example, from the guy who starred in Dirty Jobs...to train in Vo-Tech.
"The scholarship is the Work Ethic Scholarship Program, offered by television host Mike Rowe through his mikeroweWORKS Foundation. Rowe recently doubled the foundation's funding to $10 million to help Americans pursue debt-free, in-demand careers in the skilled trades ."

Working to make a living really sucks, doesn't it? Welcome to the crowd.
CurrentName · 51-55, M
Let's say you're 22, think about all you've gone thru in all that time. Being a kid, school , high school , all that..
It took you 22 years..
Now double that, and that's how long you're going to be punching that clock.
If you don't do anything about it , in 40 years you're going to be in a place like this telling some other kid like you what all this old people are telling you now.
And when that happens. You're going to remember me.
