My workplace is an introverts nightmare

It's all wide open, concrete and glass, everything and everyone fully visible at all times. Even the meeting rooms are doorless (most stupid idea ever- anyone walking by can hear your discussions, and the people in the meeting can't fully concentrate because of all the foot traffic moving past).

I can't go anywhere in this building to be alone and decompress. It's driving me crazy! I have to literally hide from my chatty coworkers in any corner I can find (there aren't many). I found a tiny unused office that is usually available, but even that has a glass door, so if I hide there I have to press myself against the wall so no one passing by the glass door can see me and rudely wander in, wanting to chat (they will, they seem to have no concept of someone wanting to NOT be disturbed).

I hate this place so much. Why would a guy designing a call center not also include rooms where you can sit quietly for a moment, alone??? Apparently he has no idea what a toxic draining job a call center position is.

Yes, I just spent the last four hours taking nonstop calls from loud, angry, emotional people who are blaming ME for their own passport application mistakes, all while having to be charming, professional, and a little bit of a therapist.... sure! I'd love to spend my lunch break in a loud, crowded break room full of people trying to have excruciating small-talk with me!! 🙃

That's the workplace concept today. They don't even have to spring for cubicles. Just put a bunch of tables in a warehouse.,

Try to extend the calls with nice people, so the angry ones stay on hold or are redirected to other agents
Oh God, I'd hate that. I'd need some place to decompress at least once throughout the day

Why are there no Greta Garbo places at your workplace

One of my environments wasn't so great either but in a different way. It was like working underground in a dungeon no windows no sun and this was coming after i was use to working out side for so many years.
