Every day when I worked for someone else. When I became self employed, I was greatly appreciated.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@RogueLoner I think that’s why farmers are happier than if they work a job.
TexChik · F
Thanks for the B/C
Nolovehere · 31-35, M
@TexChik 😊
Every now and again… but then out of the blue they do something especially nice for me and I feel very appreciated. At the end of the day, I’m just supplying a service.

To be honest, I've never looked to my job for validation. I have nothing in my office, and am ready to go as soon as they fire me, or something better comes along.
Nolovehere · 31-35, M
@FukFaceWillie fair enough
PatKirby · M
Enough to consider leaving. The reasons for the recent Great Resignation include low pay and lack of respect among others.
Nolovehere · 31-35, M
@PatKirby pay alone would give me enough reason
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
It used to be daily but I have a really great boss and am on an awesome team again and that makes such a huge difference.
Nolovehere · 31-35, M
@Starcrossed i wish I had a better team

Always and forever, but who cares? Work for yourself, take the high road, then once you’ve achieved perfection, move on with head held high….
Nolovehere · 31-35, M
@fun4us2b well it’s a tough economy out there of course I care
fun4us2b · M
@Nolovehere The owner only cares about getting the work done - unless you're kicking ass - he/she doesn't give a crap about you...trust me, I'm an owner - all these guys that tell me their hardship stories, but then show up late, act lazy and complain then leave early...really? I don't want to know their problems....you work, I pay...
In short, make yourself valuable and irreplaceable - then the money will come...

All the time

Maybe it's time to look around?
Nolovehere · 31-35, M
@uncalled4 yeah
PatKirby · M
@Nolovehere Take it from me, if a person has started thinking about being unappreciated at work, it's past time to be looking for another job. There's plenty of jobs that respect and appreciate you. I hear higher salaries are to be had these days.
Nolovehere · 31-35, M
@PatKirby appreciate that
Every day
Nolovehere · 31-35, M
@V00doo why not change jobs
