@Punches Don't blame you. But I envy you getting an offer.
Comcast has some 3rd party idiot side show now that calls to make a deal to lock in my current pricing, which is outrageous, for 2 years. Oh but you have to pay about $115 to activate it. Seperate from my bill by credit card while on the phone. If you don't the price jumps almost $70 a month. What a racket and it's legit. I actually dug for an hour to get a Comcast human to verify the deal was good and active to make sure I wasn't scammed.

@Gibbon You are not the first person I have heard say that Comcast makes people jump through countless hoops to get a "Deal".
I was giving Spectrum like $89 a month just for internet for 400 megs. WAY more speed than I really need in my house. Verizon charges $50 for around 100 megs which is still faster than really needed.
Supposedly it will be that much for the next five years, we shall see.
I do not have a bunch of people streaming anything so even 100 megs is fine.
ANYways Spectrum keeps saying "Oh well we can do it for $40".
I wonder what the catch is, PLUS they didn't seem interested in making deals when they were charging almost $90. I imagine whatever "Deal" they want to give probably stinks.
People are not willing to negotiate until someone is walking out the door.

@Punches here Comcast doesn't care if you walk out the door. I have a hd tv internet combo package 500m download. Just me now. Don't need it but it is what it is. Can get more not less.
But they have a monopoly with hd receiver box and modem pkg.
Sit down most of it is internet cost in the pkg. Before hd and high speed it was tv that was the high percentage of the cost. 199 a month. Most of what I care to watch is not available live streaming so a T-Mobile or Version internet only pkg won't do it for me. I've given every rep including the callers hell for the pricing literally calling them thieves. Doesn't change a thing.

@Punches Half of what I watch is over air watchable. I have a very large HD antenna but I'm so far out from the DC stations it's not 100% reliable. I'm all alone these days so SW and the tv keep me company. Talking here like with you helps to. You and have to avoid politics however. I've already looked. I hate when that's the only thing that divides people. I was never involved with it but after the last 4 years I did and can be real a$$ with the divisions.
