No big loss to us if they did move. But they likely won’t.

@calicuz I believe that people who are willing to work in jobs where we need more employees will be welcomed to stay. Why let in huge amounts of people and then subsidize them with freebies at the taxpayers expense? If they were willing to get out and work a job then that is different.

Yes, but did you know there are at least 44 million Americans not willing to work right now. They are unemployed but not actively seeking work. So it would seem to me that the so called immigration problem isn't as much a problem as it is a temporary solution. If those jobs aren't filled then that puts the power in the hands of the American worker to increase wages, and we know how Corporate america feels about paying higher wages.
And I'm just pointing things out patti, you know I like you and we've always gotten along. I'm not going on a rant with you, so please don't misinterpret my tone. ❤🙂

@calicuz They might be a little more willing to work if they ever got hungry.

That's true, I've been apart of the working poor, and it's not easy, but it takes a certain drive in a man to be willing to work harder for more in the future. Unfortunately not everyone has that drive. I am blessed now though.

@calicuz There are people handed opportunities on a platter (jobs or training or both) and they turn their nose up at them. I’ve seen this myself with several people. I don’t understand it. They’d rather have handouts or manipulate others to give or help them instead.

I know, and I find it shameful as well. That's not the "American Spirit" I was brought up on.

@calicuz Same here. It is a waste of human potential in this nation is what it is. Someone has to pay to take care of others when they are able-bodied and able-minded but refuse to work. What a waste.
