@pancakeslam oh yeah, I hope they lock those people up. What the Israeli government is doing is abhorrent, but the football supporters have very little to do with that so those attacks were completely unwarranted and unprovoked.

@pancakeslam as more information came out, it turned out a little more complicated. The reaction was obviously still not justified to the extent it happened, but apparently it started out with the Israelis tearing down Palestinian flags and attacking someone just minding his own business.

@pancakeslam eye witness videos. The Israelis weren't attacked or threatened while doing that. Of course it's possible it originated in multiple places, some initiated by Israelis and some by Dutch people, which later came together for an escalation. But it wasn't all just Dutch people attacking Israelis out of nowhere.

@NerdyPotato I didn't say they were Dutch people attacking Israelis but Islamic foreign nationals or immigrants. The Dutch King who rarely speaks out on these issues and many politicians denounced it as an anti semitic pogrom. You come across as an apologist.

@pancakeslam it was antisemitic and I didn't say it wasn't. All I said was that some Israeli visitors did provoke some of it. Don't twist my words.

And I honestly don't care what a Zionist supporter calls it, regardless of his rank. The fact is that it was initiated by both sides and that it's unacceptable how far it escalated, but I don't see how how denouncing the fights regardless of who started it makes me an apologist.

@pancakeslam I agree that Israel is important, but Zionism isn't about protecting Israel's assigned area. It's about expanding its borders while pushing everyone else out of the entire Middle East. You think that's important? If so, please block me.
