Christ said to his followers to love everyone. Then why does the Christians sees the atheists as inferior?

@gumba both my dad and sister are atheists. My mother couldn't go to church because of my autistic brother. He gets cranky when he stays in the Church too long. So mom stays with him at home on Sundays. But she prays from home. Other Christians can't understand it. They even assumed that my brother was possessed that's why he don't like to come to church.
