I am hearing impaired, and it can makes things awkward if you say something to me....and I can not, do not hear what you're saying.
It happens to me, women say flirting things that I don't hear (other people overhear and share the things after the fact)...by default I don't react to their come on....which makes it embarrassing or awkward for them.
My partial deafness is truly a silent disability.
