It's not paranoia if they're really after you!

It's surprising (but not really) how many people confirm your worst suspicions sometimes, letting the mask slip. Getting 'complimentary' comments about weightloss, that are basically just confirming all the insults and things you told yourself that people thought about you. Like you're 'acceptable' when you are smaller, and they can sort of whisper behind their hand at you about how horribly enormous and undesirable you were when you were fat.

i think you are right in what you say completely, Most people today suck, and are disrespectful, rude and have no manners at all. but at the same time I say, stuff them all, if your happy with yourself , that's all that really matters :)

It could be worse. They could be asking what you are doing with all that excess skin these days.

@AdmiralPrune I will give the benefit of the doubt that you are trying to be funny rather than meaning to be rude.

sorry some people look cute fat but sometimes the trend of slender is hotter runs high .. and is not a positive trend/view to those who aren't in it .. trends are annoying sometimes.. sorry if i annoyed you 😳

@GoFish Missing my point a bit I think.
People saying things to you that they wouldn't have said at the time, but think it's fine now you're not fat. As if you're meant to agree and disparage yourself/anyone else at that weight. And I still looked amazing when I was fat 😝

Most people are clueless and don’t know what to say so they speak carelessly. I wouldn’t read into comments or even compliments which sound left handed. The person speaking is probably not very bright to begin with.
