To anyone who has always been thin...

Does keeping your figure in check seem like a full time job? Constantly making sure you don't go over a certain number of calories, getting in walks daily etc...I lost twenty pounds for my health last year but have gained six back over the winter. I'm back into walking several days a week but it's always difficult too not going over say, 1700 calories a day. I'm really determined to lose those few pounds again, plus ten more. But it's NOT easy. Any tips?

I’m careful about what I eat but I don’t obsess about it. I prefer to eat healthy food because it makes me feel better. When I have junk food, I get migraines and feel sluggish.

I’m ordinarily a fairly active person. On the days I’m physically active, I consume more calories. On the days I’m not active, I consume less.

We never had dessert growing up except on special occasions and we didn’t have big meals either so I think that also contributed to the way I view food. I don’t really eat unless I start to feel hungry either. I rarely have fast food (like 3x a year). When I eat at a restaurant I almost always end up taking half of it home

I do know what it’s like to be overweight though. When I was pregnant with my twins, I gained an enormous amount of weight. I had edema too. I weighed over 200 pounds the day they were born. I felt awful. I felt unwell. I lost all that weight through exercise and nutrition. It took a long time to lose it but I’m glad I did it it the right way
