To anyone who has always been thin...

Does keeping your figure in check seem like a full time job? Constantly making sure you don't go over a certain number of calories, getting in walks daily etc...I lost twenty pounds for my health last year but have gained six back over the winter. I'm back into walking several days a week but it's always difficult too not going over say, 1700 calories a day. I'm really determined to lose those few pounds again, plus ten more. But it's NOT easy. Any tips?

I had been 250 pounds and my diabetes was getting worse as a result. I knew I had to make changes or my health would get worse.

I ended up joining weight watchers. I tracked all my food faithfully and kept within my "points" weekly. I started walking daily and did some strength training. It took me over a year and I lost over 90 pounds. It helped my diabetes tremendously. My meds were reduced quite a bit and my a1c became normal.

Since the fall i gained back nearly 20 pounds because I binged and did not track faithfully. Now I am back on track and am on the road to lose again. It is not easy, it takes work, but you can do it.
