@Matt85 I stopped eating canned soups about 15 years ago. Most all of them have monosodium glutamate in them and that gives me heart palpitations. I read labels and avoid it. They use so many terms for it and even natural celery extract powder has a lot of MSG in it and causes palpitation.

@Matt85 I am able to get up and cook now. I can make all kinds of good soups. I will probably be baking foods next week because a cool front is coming in on Sunday.

@cherokeepatti Progresso doesn't put in msg in their soups, stews, or chowders.

@Matt85 I couldn’t have any soup except broth at the hospital because they have gluten in them. I had to pick and choose from what I could tolerate. I would ask them to send peanut butter and turkey sausages and juice for breakfast and put the peanut butter on gluten free crackers with Manuka honey. Those were really good, especially with hot decaf coffee.

@NativePortlander1970 I have had Progresso lentil soup and it was really good. But sometimes these food manufacturers will put something similar in it and whatever it is does the same thing as MSG.
