I Want to Lose Weight

I don’t want to lose an excessive amount. I’m hoping to lose 8 or 9kg. So far I’ve lost a little over 1kg. I know it’s not much, but it’s a start. I’ve been working out for two weeks now. Due to injuring my lower back from poor posture, I had to take 3 days off at one point, which made me restless. Then I pulled a joint in my upper leg. Y’know, just falling apart and whatnot xD

Now I’m mostly well and have been increasing some kinds of workouts. I’ve become much stronger! I’m proud of myself, but I am easily discouraged by the scale. I shouldn’t look all the time, I know. I have a bad habit of stepping on the scale multiple times a day to see if I’ve lost any! I’d rather look once a week or even fortnightly. Ah, what’s to be done? In 4 months I want to be down to my desired weight, but it won’t be easy. It’s hard to lose weight.

What's your goal weight? I'm trying to lose some weight too. I'm going to do a water fast this week. You should try it too!

@Streamofconsciousness OMG I was 68kg last month!! I started doing calorie deficit. But I was just like you, I'd weigh myself multiple times to see if my diet was really working. For 3 weeks I lost only 3kg. And then I saw these waterfast videos on youtube. I tried for 7 days and I lost 5kg! Now I'm already 60.2kg. My goal weight is 55kg.

@SW-User Now I want to try it, haha. I’ll look it up! It takes a while for the weight to go, though. When I start working out I always gain for a few weeks because the muscles make little tears that cause them to retain water or something like that. Around 3 weeks the muscles are repaired and stronger. On days I’m not working out I’ll have to try fasting. Thank you for sharing!

@Streamofconsciousness Yeah, plus the more muscles you have, the more calories your body will burn each day. So that's good 😊 No problem. Good luck! I hope we reach our goal weight! 😁
