I Am Trying to Lose Weight

I am an emotional eater, when I feel sad I just find myself eating. And then if it's not eating it's drinking or self harm...I really need to find better coping techniques

I understand. And the irony of it is that the more criticism we get for our weight and size, the more stressed and emotional we feel, so we eat more. In many cases, lectures about weight do exactly the opposite of their stated intention.
