From my own experience struggling with weight, I've discovered that eating a very low carb diet takes away my appetite. Try lowering your carbs to the point where you have no sugar cravings and are not always getting hungry. It seems hard to give up high carb foods like potatoes, rice, bread and pasta, but when you do, you may well find that your raging appetite disappears

Try fasting. You can do one meal a day fasting and still eat whatever you want durin that meal.

Good luck with whatever you do. I never had any success with diets that involved portion control or cutting out certain types of food. I always failed at those

Well thats not that bad at all. Although soda is bad for you i think as long as you aren't at the point i was it shouldn't be to big of a problem.
