Chilly autumn afternoons

I walked home from school with my daughter after dance club. It only takes five minutes, but there was much standing water on the roads and pavements and we got damp and cold.

Now safely back home, wet clothes removed, feet warming up on the sheepskin rug in the living room. Two mugs of hot chocolate before dinner.

Moments like this remind us of our many blessings 😌

What counts as cold? It was 8C this morning here when I went for a walk and 13C this afternoon when I went out again to walk to the local charity shop to donate a bag of clothes. But it was fairly dry and sunny so very comfortable, the tarmac was actually warm in the sun.

@ninalanyon Air temperature is around 15C, but the humidity and greyness makes it uncomfortable. It was very nice yesterday when the sun came out.

@SunshineGirl That's why I like living in eastern Norway. The mountains to the west cause the rain to be dumped to the west of me and here the humidity is generally low.

@ninalanyon Yep, it's my least favourite thing about living in the sourh-west.
