Now do cassette tapes, those were real winners too. I still see pieces of video tapes and cassette tapes woven in wild bird’s nests sometimes and wonder where they are getting that.

That rarely happened, if you cleaned your player or recorder those tapes worked flawlessly.

Beta tapes were smaller and superior quality, yet they were out-marketed and became obsolete, very sad.

those tapes never paused or froze like the demonic technology used today. Analog was a more reliable medium.
