Strange Findings Re: Weather This Morning

We have struggled for a while with the heat and humidity. It suddenly dropped 20F degrees out from mid 90s to 70s. When we got up this morning, the windows showed this go pattern, which seemed odd to me. the glass is double paned and the fog is on the outside:




and on our balcony there were these strange droplets on the table, we did not apply any wax, etc. to it:



Anyone want to give an explanation for the pair of findings?

Typical of Spring and Autumn mornings where I live in the west of England. Outside condensation only happened on my windows when I went triple glazed. When I had single glazed windows (many years ago) it was always on the inside and I don't remember it being very obvious with double.
