I guess your house isn't well insulated. I blame global warming. It is causing much lower temperatures than our houses were designed for.

@LILY61 I grew up in an old farm house that had a coal fired furnace and drafty windows. We had to pump the water from the well in the yard and then drain the pump so it didn't freeze in the very cold weather. Just curious did the frost burst any water pipes?
@hippyjoe1955 one behind the cupboards in the kitchen...it looked cracked. Everything had to be moved....annoying but not terrible

@LILY61 That happens when it gets cold! We used to have heat tape around the pipes in the house once we put in running water. Kept the pipes from freezing so long as the power stayed on.

That is actually terrible news. That means you have a frozen pipe. Frozen pipes break and pray water all over your house. Open the door on your bathroom vanity. Let the the warmer house air in there. Anything you can do to add a little heat to those water lines to unthaw slowly. Then pray they don't break. Good luck. Wishing you all the best.
@Musicman thanks. when it gets this cold i just remove the vanity doors because we will forget otherwise. in the kitchen....i just came inside and heard spraying and i ran outside and couldn't see where it was coming from. the outside faucet is always a problem, then i went back inside and saw the tiniest puddle coming from under the cupboards on that wall. the PVC had cracked somehow and was spraying allover. I had to squeeze my big fat torso in between two tall cupboards and turn the valve off. and then call my husband...it took a couple of days to get the stuff he needed to fix it but it is mostly done now.

Get a space heater and put on the pipes and leave spigot on
