I've noticed the weather forecasts are pretty often wrong.
@Nitedoc That's interesting.
I used to think they were more often wrong in my youth,
and that these days they give better percentage odds of a particular type of weather,
and that the long term forecasts are usually fairly reliable.
But I guess it depends partly where one lives; the severity of wind events seems less predictable.

@hartfire I don't think they are accurate enough. But then my expectations from supposedly professional people may be a little high.
@Nitedoc I'm no sure that perfect predictions are ever possible, since weather and climate systems are not stable, and are becoming less so due to climate change.
Think of how, when a pot boils, the position of a pea becomes less predictable than when the pot's water is at room temperature.

@hartfire I understand the problem. I'm simply saying the weather reports are just not accurate enough to be counted on.
@Nitedoc Sorry for having stated the unnecessary.
Am aware that some regions are becoming far less predictable.
In my area, I can still rely on the weather (most of the time) to help me prepare for the following day's work. Pulling weeds by the roots after rain, slashing 8' high grass when it's dry, and indoor chores when wet.

@hartfire No problem, it's fine.
