They're telling us temperature is around what it should be for this time of year and the jetstream is more or less where it should be. It's just that there's massive heat coming up from Africa; wet weather from the west of the Atlantic and similar from the north which is producing storms that we're catching the tail end of which is making it very wet in northern Europe
