Did u use to love snow day's to miss school?

I don't think there was ever such thing and I always hated when I couldn't get on time because of something out of my control because I always believed they didn't care why I came late, only that I did and it was always my fault. For example, if I knew there would be bad weather then I was supposed to take an earlier bus. I still have dreams in which I'm as if in primary school or high school and I just realized that my usual bus wouldn't come, so I look at the clock and see the hands moving towards the crucial point past which I 100% knew I wouldn't be able to come to school on time.

I never had one till we moved up north, they were the best.
In the 80s you had to wait for your town to be announced on the radio or on the scroll on tv, no internet or auto calls back then

I use to think about heavy rain so on exam day there will be holiday....but atlast i found myself pulling my bicycle through water to school under heavy rain... 🥲

ohyeah. we were not allowed to wear pants to school so it was miserable when it snowed. we use to wear pants under our dresses and take them off at the door.

We didn't get snow days unless there was ice on roads , Tennessee was a little behind in that idea when i was younger .

If anything we missed school when it got really cold, but not snow. It didn't get to that point where we'd miss school

A snow day over 3 got taken off Memorial Day weekend.
