It's like Spring time out there...but I'm still not joining the global warming cult.

@FloorGenAdm No, I am not, either...but good gosh...these are temperature extremes.

Predictions were for bitter cold this year. Glad they were wrong. Been a mild winter in TN other then that super cold blast we had over Christmas.
I debated if i should buy a snow blower this year. It only snows deep every 5-10 years. I did not want to have to shovel deep snow again this year. Glad I held off. Looks like no snow for us this year. But ya just never know.

Oklahoma gets cold and then warms up again. Usually before an ice storm we’ve had warm weather in the 60’s or even 70’s then when that ice storm blast through it creates an ice that sticks to the trees, power lines, etc and damages.

@4meAndyou It’s because of our location. The cold fronts can be from going over the mountains of Colorado chilling the air even more, or straight down from Canada (Arctic) cold fronts or Siberian blasts. Then after it’s over we may get southern breezes from the Gulf of Mexico, the air gets damp from the Gulf air and warms up and then a cold front blasts down and freezes that moisture and adds to the freezing rain.

@cherokeepatti Wow!!! Talk about a cornucopia of weather! You get blasted from everywhere.
Where I live, we usually get the Atlantic Stream weather, and if there are winds we get whatever is happening in Florida and North Carolina...eventually.

@4meAndyou This is one reason we have so many tornadoes. but probably not the only reason.

Has been a wild ride over here all winter long. Already have some mushrooms and buds on a lot of my fruit trees.
Always get one last freeze and at least a day or 2 of snow in February here. Going to ruin the blueberries!!

Colder than usual weather. I drove past one of our local lakes yesterday. Usually has some ice around the edges this time of year, but it was completely frozen over.
BizSuitStacy · M
No...quite the opposite. It's March and the usual signs of spring are non existent. It's cold and snowing.

Gonna be in the 60s and 70s this week in NC. Not terribly unusual but it has been warmer than usual this winter

The opposite actually, it's going to snow soon apparently.
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
Its only 40 here in IN...i don't get that till Thursday 😭
Sadly yes.
It rained here for almost two weeks, the snow almost entirely melted.
It did melt, but the ginormous snow banks in the parking lots (from the plows) were still there, but small. Not one plus story tall, as they are typically in normal winter times.
And now again we are facing rain and plus (Celsius) temps.
