Six more weeks of this,
Savoring winter's bliss,
White blanket of snow.
Snuggled inside by a warm fire's glow.
Outside, nature's calling,
Winter's kiss-
Light snow is falling.
Footprints, leading to nowhere,
Bundled up, the cold wind awakens,
February's whisper in the air.
Such silence is deafening,
But speaks to me in ways that make me still,
Dare I venture further,
To capture another memory in time?
I throw another log onto the fire,
And savor this wintery rhythm.

@Carissimi I'm hanging in there, day by day. Monday I see my Dr. Tuesday begin physical therapy. I can't worry about work, or bills, or anything that might cause me stress. Just thankful for a second chance, and not looking a gift horse in the mouth.
I'm done with smoking and drinking, that wildman, Montana life and rich food galore.
