UK heatwave - 40 degrees

It is 'only' 31 degrees here today and I am wilting... just turning in to a puddle on my sofa 🥵

It is hitting 40 tomorrow, I have already told work they will not see me in the office until Wednesday.

I am looking forward to trying some of the cool-down tips that I've seen though!

its been 40-42 degrees C in Texas all month and will continue into August they are forecasting

@TexChik Is that higher than normal, or pretty standard? Do you notice it as being especially hot or unpleasant?

@helsbels Its early. Usually that hits in August. Its only miserable around the coast where the humidity is high, and the heat index can get it up to 45 or so. Having lived in this all my life and competed athletically in it , we just endure and take precautions and stay hydrated.

@TexChik wow I was sweating just walking from the bedroom to the kitchen. Could not imagine sport in these conditions 👏
