A long wait

My daughter took her dog to the emergency vet because she was coughing, vomiting and had labored breathing. They got there before 5 pm and they are still there, (11:26 pm)waiting for test results. They haven't seen the vet yet!

UPDATE:
My daughter just arrived home from the vet's office where she waited for test results from 4:47 pm to 1:20 am.

8 hours 45 min. give or take a click of the second hand.
I think I would find a different emergency vet. Even a regular vet clinic would give faster service.
@PhoenixPhail I bet they charge her fast enough.

@Mamapolo2016 The bill will be arriving before the weekend and it will be due upon receipt. Expect it to be as much as a people doctor.
@Crazywaterspring Or, sometimes, more.

That's mad! It makes me mad, there's no reason for that long a wait
@Longpatrol Well, it's a good thing it wasn't copious bleeding.

I hope her dog is okay now. That was too long to wait.

How's the dog doing?
@AntisocialTroll Lola, the pooch, hasn't been a puppy for quite some time. When my daughter rescued her, the (probably part poodle, judging from the curly brown coat) was already blind.

She has had lumps here and there, but tests revealed they're now on her liver and spleen.

They gave my daughter anti-nausea meds and antioxidants to help her liver.

Dog lovers know what it takes. And have no regrets. 😇
@WandererTony My daughter would have been livid if she'd been waiting for her own doctor. Last evening, not a whisper of complaint. just periodical texts - "still here."

@Mamapolo2016 I totally understand. I live that life. 🤗😇
@WandererTony As do I. 😊
