Would I need a jacket in Ontario July/august month? Would it ever get cold? Does it get rainy?

I did some research on the weather but I prefer to hear from people who have been there.

You will normally not need a jacket in the summer but you may need something to keep the rain off of you. Sometimes there are colder days but they're uncommon. Climate change also means weather is unpredictable.

Of course, how you acclimate to the new climate is going to matter a lot.

@CountScrofula I think I will bring a jacket just in case.. you never know if it gets colder or if I get cold because I am not used to this weather... Also the possibility of rain is a good point.. I wish it rains while I am there 🥺🥔

@CountScrofula it is good to hear from Canadians though that summer is hot! Someone who has never been to Canada been going on and on about how Canada is cold all year long... I know it is not the case. People can be dumb pfft.

@BittersweetPotato Yeah we have SEASONS lol

@CountScrofula Exactly what I have been saying! Really looking forward to experiencing the beauty of the four seasons in Canada..! <3 It is something I have not experienced before.

@BittersweetPotato So here's the thing. The average temperature for each season will be an average and there may be swings warm or cold.

Most of us will have a heavy jacket for winter, and a light jacket for spring/autumn. If it is cool in summer, just wear your light jacket. Done.

@CountScrofula Thank you my dear. Will keep that in mind, and will take a light jacket with me in case of a swing, especially in the evening time.

@BittersweetPotato Yeah. A thing is that you're from a dry climate and Ottawa is pretty humid. It may actually feel uncomfortably hot for you as a result at times. But hey part of the fun lmao. And since you are emigrating here said light jacket will be useful at some point I promise.

@CountScrofula You are right.. I can't remember if you are one of the friends who know where I live exactly lol but the weather here is usually just a burning sun, dry and sometimes we have sand storms.. although it does get humid as well! I'd rather be prepared, and a jacket won't take up the entire suitcase! Plus I will have to use it at some point when I leave for good to Canada!

@BittersweetPotato So what's the plan rn? You're in for a scouting mission?
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@CountScrofula I am so in lol I will be in Canada for three weeks this summer, and I plan on visiting Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec! I hope I am not too ambitious and that i will manage to plan well and visit all places.. Next year around now or earlier, will make my final move :) Scared but excited.
