I started first grade in 1962, small town school. The little farm boys would bring their shiny new pocket knives they got as a gift to show off at Show and Tell. The teacher would ask them what they were going to use them for…they’d say peeling apples, whittling wood, cutting string, etc. Not one of them said “I’m going to stab someone with it.”
This is how much society has changed since I was a child. Nowadays children would get suspended for carrying a pocketknife.

@cherokeepatti I just don’t understand violent people. Honestly I feel like people should just have a pocket knife…you never know when you’ll need one for whatever reason. Even my GF is surprised how handy it is that I simple carry one whenever I’m out. And it’s been habit to have one since my dad got me my first one when I was ten 🤷♂
