Things that don't work when the power grid goes down

Computers.
Cash Registers.
Fuel pumps.
Credit / Debit cards
Electronic Currency.
Refrigerators.
Battery Chargers.
Well pumps.
Furnace blower fans.
Lights
Water Heaters.
Everything that we thought would never happen is happening. It's time to think about things like this. I encourage you all to add to the list of these things that do not work when the power grid goes down in the comments. May God bless and I love you all.
When the wifi glitches you should not use online currency.
I bought some items for power outings
@Husher now you are using your head. I am trying to promote everybody to start using their head and think about stuff like you do. Some of the smaller businesses may actually switch back over to ink pen written receipts and may accept cash. But what would someone do if their cash is tied up in the bank account and the bank's computers do not operate and they cannot keep control of whose money is who's?
@IndianaJoes they would have a generator, maybe not if private buisness. I'm thinking of a gas powered 400$ one
@Husher that is a good thought also however you must keep in mind that even propane has to be pressurized by a pump somewhere down the line. A possible solution is to store up a lot of propane tanks and hope they will get you through until the power grid gets back up. A similar thought would be with cell phone batteries and battery packs. It would be costly but if a person could afford to store up a lot of them and get them charged up and use the energy from them sparingly. And also even if cell towers have backup generators they still need computers to operate. All it takes is one break in the system somewhere along the line.

Things that aren’t battery-powered that require power 🤷🏼‍♀️
@AbbySvenz I do like your comment because it adds food to thought of things we need to think about during wartime. It's like the car may run on gasoline without electricity... But what will happen when your fuel tank runs empty? Enemies has bombed key points in the power grid to make it unusable.... The power grid has not worked in a couple of weeks. And you go to the fuel station to fill up your gas tank to find that they also do not have electricity. The electric motors that runs the fuel pump at the fuel station cannot pump fuel out of their tank into your tank.... And their electric cash registers do not work either so you cannot use a credit card or even cash for that matter to pay for it if the electric fuel pumps did work. And also many fuel stations do not have standby generators.

If there’s no power, that means cellular towers wouldn’t be working, anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️@IndianaJoes
@AbbySvenz that is also a good point. However most cell towers actually do have a standby generator as long as they can have fuel pumped to them. That is what that big creme colored metal box down at the base of the cell tower is, is a standby generator.
Exactly why Putin is threatening to detonate a nuke in space.
@Pitchblue yes and it amazes me how many organizations are trying to promote buying electronic currency. And what amazes me even more is how many people actually jumped on that bandwagon with no thought at all about what happens after the EMP attacks and who's really hacking the internet.

On the bright side, for a good little chunk of money, you can buy a gasoline powered sea water converter. It will take sea water, or any dangerously polluted water, and turn it into clean drinking water.

You can also buy a gas or solar powered generator...or, best of both worlds, a hybrid solar generator that will also run on gasoline.

Start buying gasoline, and store it in your outside sheds, to be safe.
To decentralize using batteries and other storage? That's a thing only if you can have a problem and try to solve it. You would have MP4 connectors in the hardware section at Walmart but you never ever will. You may not. That's socialism.

generators can make power, most of thrid world relies on them, so if power grid went down we would just generat eour own power, all govt buildings etc, have generator sin case of power faiure
