Who else enjoys Flight Simulator?

I've been playing this game for many years. It's been interesting to see how it has advanced throughout the years. As you can see in the screenshot, it has certainly come a long way since i the beginning.

A calm flight in the evening usually helps me with anxiety, even if it's just for a little while. It's more than just a game for me. In addition to reducing my anxiety, I can actually learn a great deal about aircraft. I'm always ready to learn something new.

I love to look down and see the ground below me. I'll never fly an actual plane, but this is pretty close to the experience... or at least close enough for me.

I found a 3.5" disk one day, it has the original label on it for Microsoft Flight Simulator 4, for DOS lol.

It works great in dosbox, but very difficult to play since all I use on it is keyboard.

@twiigss That's a great find. I remember playing FS when I was a kid. I had a huge Compaq Presario. It didn't run well, but I made do with it. That was my introduction to flying.

That simulator has been around for a very long time. And I’ve always enjoyed it. At first I used it and kind of the video game mode? But now when I have access, I like to play it with full realism. It is really different than what people think flying is it is totally awesome

@Dshhh I like that, too. It offers flight lessons, so I've been doing that for a while. I'm having trouble with one lesson, which involves maintaining a certain altitude while throttling down. I have to make trim adjustments while watching my instruments closely, and the instructor isn't very forgiving. I'm working on it, though.
where is this taken, the land scape is beautiful, some what like where Ilive,

@jackrabbit10 I visit eastern Tennessee about once every year. I try to avoid the tourist traps and stick mainly to the national park. It's a beautiful place for hiking and camping.
@TommyNoir to me the south eastern part of Tennessee ,is like a park ,,the back roads

I've played Microsoft Flight Simulator since the early 2000's. The one I played the most was Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator: WW2 Pacific Theater.

I liked playing them back in the days. Too bad I don't have the hardware or time to run and enjoy them nowadays.

I was like I never heard of a fight Simulator. But flying is a lot of fun

I've been obsessed with American truck simulator instead. I guess I'm not that much of a flyboy.

@pancakeslam I would enjoy that, if it's available on Xbox. I've always wanted to drive across the country.
