I Like Trains

I am a girl and I love trains! I grew up on the railway. My Dadcu (Welsh for grandfather) was a stationmaster. I went to work with him in the holidays. The line was a coal line. The drivers really spoiled me! Did you know that the first ever train spotter in tbe world was a girl. She lived near Swindon in the 1850’s. She recorded the numbers of the engines.

I love the Bluebell Railway. I have been a few times. I especially like Horsted Keynes station. It’s so busy in an old fashioned way that reminds me of the stories my Dadcu, that’s my grandfather, tells me about how the railway used to be.
