Flying (air travel) already is something only for the privileged, so what's new?

Airlines are claiming that 'net zero mandates' around so-called 'SAF' will push the costs of aviation much higher and price air travel so only the elite/executive class can afford it.

Here in Oz that's already the case 8-)

@MarineBob Most 'flag carrier' airlines would be considered 'too big to fail' also. Qantas got *massive* amounts of money from the then Liberal/Republican federal government in 'Jobkeeper' payments when almost everything was forced to shut down during Covid lockdown 1.0 and 2.0 in 2020/21 (Jobkeeper 'insured' businesses though, not individual's jobs) and none of that money ever got payed back.
