I am usually left wondering WHERE some of my packages are. Because they say they have been delivered.
Several options....the front entry of the front building...which is down three floors and 200 yards or more distant. Sometimes they are just left on the windowsill outside that entrance, so that anyone in the parking lot can take my stuff. Those are usually Doordash deliveries from Walmart.
Sometimes they leave a photo of where the package was delivered...and I am left guessing WHERE that little section of entry might actually BE. I usually find them lying on a small shelf in my building's entryway....ONE door away from the proper delivery area in front of the mailboxes. THAT is always UPS.....or Walmart...or Amazon.
The nice thing about Amazon, though, is if I give the delivery a thumbs down, they will locate my packages and place them on the floor in front of my apartment door!

@Zaphod42 we’ve had a lot of these the past year or two. The worst thieves were UPS truck drivers though. One guy had a business going and he would transfer packages to his own vehicle and take them home and open the packages and put the empty boxes in trash bags. Was so smart he dumped the big black bags of trash in an empty field somewhere a few miles away. The police were called and they dug through the bags and found one invoice for something else beside these packages, it had a name & address on it. So they got search warrants and went to the home and found around 1000 packages in his garage.
