I bought a motorcycle

https://similarworlds.com/vehicles/motorcycles/4578467-Heading-out-to-look-at-a-motorcycle

Well, I looked, left, went to look again. The bike I was looking at was okay, just wasn't 100% sure. It just seemed a little tawdry aside from the chrome and pipes. The aftermarket seat sucks, and the aftermarket grips are as bad as the seat. Not sure what people are thinking with some of the mods they do. Then I noticed the clutch housing was loose. I started thinking "what if something I really want comes in after I buy this?" I decided to think about it some more.

Sure enough, a 2009 FXSTCI Softail Custom came in. Actually, it's the original bike I saw on their website before it went offline. Evidently, someone backed out on the purchase. I went to the shop Saturday and left contemplating. It has some rust on the front spokes, other than that, it's very much like my old bike. Love the deep purple and silver 2-tone, and the only aftermarket parts are pipes and pegs. 8900 miles.

After thinking about it over the weekend, talked to them, and they came down another $300, so I bought it. Just need to figure out how to get it home (it’s 37F right now and I don’t have a helmet).

After I got rear ended in my car, I have become nervous about riding my bike but can't quite bring myself to sell it. 2015 100 horse power Indian Scout.

@GrinNude Indian beautiful bike don’t see many of them. Nice bike.

@GrinNude beautiful bike never stop riding friend that’s the only little bit of freedom I can find in life where my phones not ringing somebody doesn’t want something just me and my brothers riding

I like the top one a bit better but really nice bike nonetheless. I want one someday but I don't trust other drivers enough lol

@ChiefWalksWith40oz thanks I got some $ in to her
@BrewCityBarfly no biggie though, you'll make it your own in no time 👌
Funlov · M
@ChiefWalksWith40oz just stay out of the big cities I very rarely go into the city with my bike with my buddies. We’re going on a trip in two weeks here we’re putting them in trailers and taking them to California for 10 days.

I'd be ok with either really. I had a thing for Italian iron back in the day myself.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
@Funlov had a BSA dirt bike for a bit. half liter one lung! lot of fun to slide around on!
Funlov · M
@GerOttman yes they don’t build them like they used to. The only problem is you got to build a big shop I built a 5000 square-foot shop on my acreage and then you fill it full of stuff very expensive hobby.
@Funlov I could have easily went down that path. When my then-wife moved into our new place many moons back, we had 5 cars and 2 motorcycles.

Nice bike i ride a breakout all you need to do is put some bars on it now depending on how tall you are probably 12 or 13
@Funlov Thanks. Don't think it's an issue, this bike fits me like a glove.
Funlov · M
@BrewCityBarfly yes for sure is it your first Harley?
@Funlov I think this is my 10th Harley, I'd need to think back and count them. Not sure if I should count the Buell as a Harley.

Change that seat
@Funlov On the top bike? Thing is the seat on the custom is perfect for me. Also, comfy for a passenger and with the risers on the passenger pegs my daughter is looking forward to going for a ride.
Funlov · M
@BrewCityBarfly yeah, I don’t ride with anybody. I run a single seat and big bars on mine stage three screaming Eagles for pipes. I can’t leave anything alone even my snowmobile’s. I do stuff to them I’m a man.
@Funlov The V&H pipes are really nice, glad for that. I probably bookmarked $2K of items already just based on some things I did to some of the bikes I had previous. 🙂
My hub had one for awhile. He sold it.
@Spoiledbrat After I sold my last one, I swore I was done. Then my daughter started talking about learning and buying a bike, and I knew as soon as I stepped in a dealer I'd start thinking about it. I mean, I don't want her to ride alone. 😉
Blue ball it and ride it home like you stole it.

Either is a good choice!

There is nothing like an "EVO".
@ShiftingGears I agree, however, this one is Twin Cam 96B.
