should i take things like this personal

i had to go out earlier on an errand, i was walking down one street near me, and there's a car with shaded out windows pull up to the traffic lights playing loud rap music.....and i HATE rap, reggae or any music of that description.....and as i walked past this car i took it personally...i thought whoever was driving the car was trying to unnerve me or get a rise out of me? and i felt angry....but i just kept on on my errand and tried to ignore it, but it was hard, as i felt provoked.

what do you think of that situation?

I think you need to allow other people to be themselves, to do what they want to do, as long as it isn't illegal, without taking it personally.

The person listening to that music obviously LOVED it...and the person listening to that music could not possibly know that some random stranger walking by would be personally offended by it.

I think it wasn't about you. It was about them and what they enjoy. You have to learn to seperate yourself, your reactions, from things like this.

Your high level of tolerance is noted. I'd like to see a small satellite dish-shaped super insane subwoofer bass you could mount on your car's roof you could aim at the car beside you - then shatter-blast their windshield into oblivion. Yep, that'd make me happy!😹

Gotta pick your battles I guess.

I think you’re paranoid😂
