Fuel Prices

I have just been checking out news on my mobile phone . The US will be hurting as much as people in the UK . Its nearly the same price in the UK and US now so can understand the complaints guys . This bloody russian war is hurting everyone big time . The US is also short of baby formula which isnt good . That russian bastard whos name is not worth a mention needs put down and soon .

Gas and fuel are traded on a global basis. Neither the UK or USA imported much from Russia, but there is now a big deficit on the supply side and this is inflating prices for what is left. Pure and simple as that. Nothing to do with Joe Biden. Incidentally, much of the developing world is dependent upon imported grain from Ukraine and Russia. Later this year when the effects of a ruined harvest become apparent, people in sub-Sahara Africa who already spend 25-40% of their income on food are really going to start paying the price of this war.

@Whyme There are other factors behind price inflation (including, in the USA, the stimulus scheme overseen by the previous president), but war at any time and any place is likely to result in major economic shock. Putin has definitely been a very naughty boy 🤨
