How many cars have you owned, and can you name them??

My first car was a Renault Clio, which I bought myself. I still have it, and I use it for trips in the city centre because it’s easy to manoeuvre in the older parts of the city.

My parents bought me my second car as a graduation gift, a Porsche 911S, which I still have in the garage next to my third car, a Mercedes Benz AMG.

My now ex-fiancé gave me my fourth car which is a Maserati Quatroporte, which I drive most days to take my daughter to school. I also use it to go to the equestrian centre on Saturdays.

These are my only cars. But I do own a Vespa scooter that I use to get about town so as to get to appointments and meet friends.

I passed my test in 1982. So a lot since then.

First was a Hillman Avenger. A mini metro followed that. Citroen DS. MG Montego. Citroen BX. Peugeot 405. Peugeot 406. Porsche 944. Aston Martin db7. Peugeot 206. Peugeot 407. Infiniti g35. Peugeot 2008 and recently a Skoda kamiq.

I've forgotten a few of the second cars we had back in the day.

An interesting collection you have there, from a Clio to a Maserati and of course a Vespa.

I passed my driving test in 1974 but...only four cars to date. I don't drive much these days and my earlier life was punctuated by periods of not driving at all due to where I lived.

- Standard 10 (1956) alternatively known by different names according to market. Known in AU/NZ as Standard Cadet, in USA as Triumph 10, and in Scandinavia as the Vanguard Junior.

- Vauxhall Cresta (1962 PADX - last of the fintail shape with 2.65 litres)

- Mazda Xedos 6 1993, 1,995cc 6-cyl, also known as Eunos 500 in the far East

- Mercedes C180K (2007 S203 estate car, 1,796cc supercharged, auto)

The Mazda and the Mercedes survive to this day in my ownership, and the Vauxhall which I parted company with decades ago I did see evidence of in 2022 so I think that's still around too.

I have owned three cars. A 1994 Ford Probe my parents purchased for me for my high school graduation. A 2007 Ford Mustang. I still miss that car and my current one is a 2025 red Honda HRV. You look super sexy on top of that Porche. 😍

will you be on top of my next car I buy?
Quite a few in almost 60 yrs... the only exciting ones were a (baffed, sadly) '59 Porsche 356 and a modified '72 Datsun 240Z.

I cried when Porsche replaced the 356 with the first 911s. The newer ones were a major shift in cooling.

That was a generous graduation gift. My first car was a 1964 Ford Falcon. Standard three geard transmission, on the column, no radio, basically 4 wheels and an engine. It cost me $1776 uSD
