Look at all that room to work in .
In Modern cars you have to be a contortionist to work on them

71 Rally Nova. Loved that old car.
CurrentName · 51-55, M
@Sojournersoul
Yes!!
I remember thinking it looked s lot like the Malibu.
As Ive said before. My father was a body work/ mechanic. So we went thru a lot of cars for some reason.
Not sure of the year but we had a Later model Nova. It had the square front and square headlights..
Novas were pretty big in popularity..
Thank you for sharing!!

The driving is fine, it accelerates a little slower than it used to
I only have about 100,500 on it as I don’t drive much besides to and from work

1980 Chevy Scottsdale pickup. It was a fuckin' beast. Got my license in 94 and used to haul around loads of people in the back. Great times!
CurrentName · 51-55, M
@SleepingWithGhosts I'm going to look it up

Now that's a truck there. I miss the bench seats. I know it was a safety issue, but I wouldn't mind them being back.

Ah, the Buick Electra was an awesome car back then. I didn't realize they put diesels in them though. Thought it was only in the Oldsmobiles. My first was the cousin to yours, a 77 Caprice Classic.

1965 Mini van. It was ten years old when I bought it for 65 GBP.
ninalanyon · 70-79, TVIP
@CurrentName Yes, 65 pounds sterling, I think that at the time (1975) that might have been about 130 USD, but I'm not at all sure.
The original Minis were great cars, real fun to drive even though it only had an 850 cc, 45 horse power, engine and a op speed of about 70 mph. They were very light and extremely agile and almost impossible to turn over. And if you did slide off the road four guys could take a corner each and lift it back on. I got beached in a snowdrift one winter and when the snowplough found me that's exactly what happened. Four smiling guys just lifted my car off the snow.

That's funny 😊
I always liked them but I'm a very tall guy. I don't think I would fit in one.
There's one mini that drives around here and wherever it goes it is the attention getter.
It is not a car you EVER see around here.
My experience with them is limited to seeing them on British movies and James Bonds movies .
😊

@CurrentName The classic Mini film has to be The Italian Job with Michael Caine. Of course these were modified for the film with 1800 cc engines and a lot of other things to make stunts practical and safe.
