@Blondily Oh my gosh. I am soooo sorry you were hurt so badly, and that it took a long time to recover. That was a terrible, terrible wreck. Just a couple of minutes of someone not paying attention can cause months and even years of suffering to someone else. I just have to shake my head, because at this moment I don't have the right words to express my thoughts. I am really so very sorry you had such a horrible experience, and I hope you're ok now.🤗

@JamesBugman He said he thought I was moving. He was between 30 and 40 years old. I don't think the devil did this, but I sure don't know what happened. He was still talking to law enforcement when they told us we could go home.🤷‍♀

@Pretzel Thank you for your kind comment. I didn't think my daughter and I were hurt that badly, but as the adrenaline wears off, it doesn't look so good. My left hip, right ankle, and right wrist are becoming more and more painful. Both my daughter and I have symptoms of a concussion, and the EMTs said my daughter did have whiplash. Our problem is no insurance, so unless something more happens, we will have to deal with this on our own. This might really suck more than I thought. Thank you again for caring. it means so much to me.❤

@Journaling4MeAgain I would contact a personal injury lawyer, they can help get compensation for pain and the injury...I had to myself. I'm still working on the case with him. I have whiplash several months still after my accident. You don't pay anything to lawyer, they get paid if you get compensation from insurance, and I'm sure you would. Was your car total loss?

@Coralmist I think my Husband may contact a lawyer when he gets home in a couple of days. I am not sure if it is a total loss or not. We haven't taken it to a body shop yet. I was able to drive it home. When I was rear-ended about 20 years ago (The same thing, I stopped to turn, and some teenagers hit me), the insurance company said the car was a total loss, and the damage was about the same as the damage to the van this time. The rear hatch will need to be replaced, and the back bumper. My Husband said he was worried about the frame, but he will have to check it and let me know when he comes home. It is an older van, a 2003 model, so the cost to fix it might outweigh the value of the vehicle. It could be a total loss. 🤷‍♀

@Thinkerbell That's what I said, but my oldest daughter (she came for support when we called her) said his car was brand new and should have had Bluetooth and hands-free like her truck does.🤷‍♀ I know he was completely shook up and kept saying he was sorry. I think at the last minute, he tried to miss me because it was the driver's side in the back that received the most damage. I am not sure if I will ever completely understand what happened.🤷‍♀
