That was too much excitement

way too much. I went to pick my daughter up from work. We were stopped at a red light, and a car hit us from the back. I was rear-ended about 20 years ago, so I always look in my rearview mirror when I am stopped to make sure the car behind me stops. Well, this car stopped behind me. Then, as I was waiting for the light to turn green, he hit me with so much force, from a stopped position, that he totaled his car, smashed in my rear hatch on my minivan, and gave my daughter whiplash. 😯

I have extreme social anxiety, and this was an ordeal for me. The police, sheriff, fire department, and ambulance came. I had to talk to everyone. I was crying and shaking, and it really sucked, but I did it. My Husband is gone. I handled all this alone. Even though I have barely left the house in the last 30 years, except now to take my daughter to work and pick her up. My daughter, who was in the car, called my oldest daughter, and I was glad she was there, but I handled this all by myself. 🙂

I am still shook up, and sore, and my head got jiggled up pretty good, but I thought if I wrote this down, while it is still fresh in my mind, it might help. The man and his daughter in the car that hit us were ok too. I felt kinda bad because my daughter cried out ouch when we got hit, and the momma bear came out in me. I got out of the van and hollered at the man, saying, "What the hell! The light was still red!! You hurt my daughter's neck! " Then I got back in the van and waited for the police. After crying for a few minutes, I got back out and said I was sorry for yelling at him. I only lost my cool for a couple of minutes before I got myself back under control.🙂

Well, I have written it all down now. I think this is all I can write for now. I am still feeling kinda weird. I suppose it is from the adrenaline rush. I thank God for protecting all the people involved in this accident today. ❤

UPDATE- The only thing I noticed about the man who hit us yesterday was that his eyes were glossy or glassy, whichever way it is said. I just looked that up, and sometimes it is caused by alcohol or drugs. I guess this would make sense because not much else does. That may have been why the police kept him longer than they kept us.🤷‍♀

Did he say why he drove into you? Was he an old man or something? Sometimes old people mistake the brake pedal for the gas.
Otherwise I suppose the devil could have pushed his pedal down with a laugh.
@JamesBugman He said he thought I was moving. He was between 30 and 40 years old. I don't think the devil did this, but I sure don't know what happened. He was still talking to law enforcement when they told us we could go home.🤷‍♀
