Syrup burn smell near my steering wheel

Very strange to smell that, it started 2 day ago. Then was fine the next day. Now again a strong syrup smell near my steering as I drive. Any ideas??? This time it lasted ten minutes.

It might be a coolant leak, you should probably check it

@urbancowboy You think it should be ok for the drive home? I'm in an appointment office but going to check the radiator fluid when I get out. I did check it five days ago, it was fine

@Coralmist if coolant reduces your engine temperature will shoot up..not advisable to drive vehicle could catch fire

@Coralmist check your coolent levels and make sure it is topped off and watch your engine temp.
