Will a car be ok to drive with clicking noise near steering wheel?

I had a tiny knock noise inside my steering wheel a couple weeks ago. Haven't heard it again but last night while turning left the area near the directional or steering wheel began clicking several times. Is it something that needs attention right away , anyone know? Or do you think it'll be ok to drive today or a few days if it did it again?

That may well be a bad CV joint, possibly both. Had that happen in a couple cars. If you can get under it, look for clean metal on the rods coming out of the transmission to your front wheels.
