Drivers, why would the oil light still be on if the RAC diagnostics check was all fine and the garage just topped up the oil?

Check the oil sensor. I had a car like that a long time ago. I drove it for years with the oil light on.

Possibly low or no oil pressure

Possibly an electrical fault on the pressure-sensor or lamp wiring.
