My wife went to college in a place where moonshining was the leading industry. When I would drive home to Atlanta late Saturday night after a date, I would hear them coming. I was driving 45 on mountain roads, and they were flying. I usually pulled over to give them room and they honked and waved as they passed with their loads for the city.

i had a relative who was friends with Jesse James. she ran a moonshine still until she got arrested. they blamed her for the moral decline of the men in the area...

reminds me of the rum runners in the 1920s during american prohibition where canadians would bootleg booze into the united states...had me and you been in charge of that we would have drank our profits away 🤭
