Anyone know cars? .battery light on and Engine oil pressure light

My actual engine light has been on for a while but some told me it's probably a faulty computer thing if there's no sounds and it's running fine. Well now my battery light is on and Engine oil pressure light. The car won't start at all.. nothing.

Is it probably a dead battery? Now my hood won't pop open too. Occasionally it gets stuck and won't pop up. If I call AAA, could they somehow pop it open?? I'm so stressed if this is a battery issue or engine. Any ideas???

First step in the diagnosis is to change the battery. Yes the hood can still be opened by someone with the knowledge of how to do it. Just curious as to how long you ran it with the oil light on?

@hippyjoe1955 The oil light only came on when it didn't start, a long with battery light. The engine light has been on several weeks but running normal no sounds etc. I was going to get it checked anyway though next week, despite some including my dad saying as long as liquids were up, it should be fine. But the main thing I assume is I have a dead battery. I'm going out now to see if hood finally popped ...wish me luck

@Coralmist Yeah the engine light is usually just an oxygen sensor issue and has nothing to do with imminent failure. Batteries do fail about every 5 years. I have no idea how the hood on your car works. If the hood doesn't pop it may be because there isn't enough lift in the hood to disengage from the first stage. It may just take two people to open it. One to pull the release and another to lift it.

@hippyjoe1955 Yeah I had a parts store check the engine light on their system and it said might be an Intake or gasket. Those are just possible ideas they said but to eventually check with a mechanic.
So now my battery light is still on this morning but there's a clicking sound when I try to start, there was no click yesterday. So hopefully this issue is indeed a dead battery..but still can't pop hood ugh. The mechanic has made a trip to my house before so he may need to pop it for me. I just wonder if we get the battery charged, if it was at all related to engine light. Probably not though. I just hope we can get hood unlatch..what a nightmare

@Coralmist Clicking sound almost always means a dead battery. Time for a new one. They aren't terribly expensive.

@hippyjoe1955 Ty hippy. Do you think once I can get a new battery, that it runs, the engine light is not related to battery issue? I just read online a faulty battery can even make a engine light go on.

@Coralmist I honestly don't know. I know that when my check engine light came on the mechanic told me that it was an oxygen sensor acting up and he could replace it for $1300,00 or I could drive with a yellow light on my dash.
