Anyone know anything about fords?

I’m going to the showroom to buy a ford and idk what one I should get

Without being concerned about money too much

I wouldn’t buy a US domestic car to start with. You want quality and reliability, go Toyota or Honda.

@Zaphod42 90% of Fords are still on the road! The other 10% actually made it home....

@Lilyb Thus the acronym that makes up the name…Found On Road Dead 😂
I have a Peugeot 3008, its roomy, big boot, I recommend

Well since we are talking a brand new vehicle, there shouldn't be any concern about reliability.

I just say that because when one buys used, THAT is when we have to investigate how well they hold up over time.

In your case, just figure out what is most important like fuel economy, something small or large, fast or slow, etc. That will narrow things down considerably.

I do not know your financial situation but consider this - maybe get something slightly used like a year or two?
Brand new vehicles depreciate considerably the moment you drive them off the lot.

@CestManan I need something big (I’m a parent) so that’s my only concern really. Big and doesn’t drink fuel like it’s water on a hot day

@BabyDolls The bigger a vehicle, the more fuel it consumes.

It seems SUV is the best compromise. Big enough for a family but still "kind of" fuel-efficient.
Also, V6 engines are slower but better gas mileage than a V8 engine. So if you have that choice, V6 engine.

Keep in mind they might try to sell you something way oversized and priced.
Just, if an SUV is what you need, stick to your guns.

What country are you in, that is fairly relevant with cars and also what you plan to use one for.
BabyDolls · 22-25, T

How will you use the auto?
Family size, driving conditions, climate region, hauling cargo, number of miles per year, etc??

@OliviaOfTheNight Used, I would definitely stick with Honda or Toyota but the OP is buying new.
Most new cars are not going to have a lot of problems. By the time a new car becomes higher mileage, most people are ready to trade in anyways.

It is when we are buying something with considerable miles that we have to worry about how well they hold up over time.

In that case, an American car is not a good choice. New though, no real difference.
