While there may be some pollution from charging the vehicle, is still going to be a lot less than an ICE engine

@Convivial actually, if you take into account full life of vehicle (including it's manufacture), EV's produce more pollution simply because mining lithium and other rare earth materials for batteries is extremely energy intensive

To manufacture each EV battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, 25,000 pounds of ore for copper Digging up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust For just - one - battery.

@wildbill83 I'll take your word for that being true, but I'll add your inefficient early steel production was... And i think the Li batteries are the full answer yet, merely one of several stepping stones
